Visited there a few mins ago. One of the best sushi experience i had. So local. So friendly and so educational.The fish is so fresh and the lovely couple are beyond amazing :)Definitely visit here again if i visit beppu

If you want to experience a traditional, home-run sushi/sashimi shoppe in Beppu look no further. The old couple (80&78 years old!) have been running this place for 60yrs!There’s a good reason why they’re still around. Everything is super fresh and the sushi rice is just about perfect. Highly recommended!

And also the price.Sakaei sushi is the first time to have a warm hospitality as if it has returned home, you can enjoy the dishes of pride. A calm and relaxing old-fashioned shop, where the seasonal fish is worth the price.Tourists are passing by at seemingly, and it is a distance feeling like regulars. I heard without reservations alone.The best sushi, additional sushi, assorted sashimi (sekisaba, kue, etc.), and sake and beer together are less than 10,000 yen, and I am full. was delicious.The general and the landlady are friendly and very comfortable.I'd like to ask you again that the shop will be closed around May 2021.I want to eat again.It was a treat.
